If in future you need to use Java I would suggest you to download and install Java from the download center of java website and you may use it.
If it is installed, do not uninstall it, just keep it updated. The same testing site will you let you know if you need to update Java. If you are a corporate decision maker and your IT consultant recommends a Java-based server solution, do not be overly concerned. Java is extremely popular, and relatively safe, when deployed on servers.
If you are sure that you never use any websites that need Java, I do recommend that you remove or disable it. Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and most other Web browsers let you enable and disable Java at will in their “Options” settings.
Sep 19, 2015 · Do I need Java on my PC. Somewhere in this forum I think I read that Brink (or someone) had uninstalled Java, for security reasons. Is uninstalling Java feasible. ? I presently have Java disabled (in my browser — Palemoon) and only activate it as necessary Thank you 🙂
Java on Linux Platforms This is an archive binary file that can be installed by anyone (not only the root users), in any location that you can write to. However, only the root user can install Java into the system location.
If it’s not there, you don’t have Java installed; if is, you can open the application and uncheck all options to disable Java entirely. In Windows, go to Start → Settings → Control Panel → Java Control Panel and go to the Advanced tab to disable Java.
